Has anyone seen this movie already? I finally got to watch it last night.
What do you think about it?

I'm not sure it was as good as the other two and I definitely missed Rachel Weisz. It was like they just recreated some of the scenes from the first two.
As many mummies as they could have found in Egypt, I think they should have stayed there and also not jumped such a big gap in time. It was definitely an unusual movie.

I didnt enjoy it as much. I thought the kid playing Rick's son was too old and there was no 'family' chemisty between them. I also did not like the post-war setting or espionage background.

My husband got if for me for Christmas.

I enjoyed the other two MUCH more :) .

I agreed - not as good as the first two... and I definitely didn't agree with the time jump... it just didn't 'mesh' very well...

I agree, that there was no chemistry at all between the family members. Their son was too old and Evie was just not the same cause it wasn't Rachel who played her. I didn't like the abominable snow monsters and and espionage stuff either. It was dumb and not at all like the essence of the first two movies created. It sucks cause i wont' own it and thus not have a full series to own.

Okay, so I'm not the only one who disagreed with the movie. I only bought it because the local Hollywood Video was having a sale: Buy 2 movies at $14.99, get two free. I like to think I paid for two and the 3rd mummy movie was free, lol. It was the only one of the three that I hadn't seen first. The first two movies were much better, I agree.

As much as I love Michelle Yong and Jet Li, I have to admit, the story just didn't work. And the dragon emperor is just NOT a mummy. They should have gone straight to Peru. But I think the producers wanted to capitalise on the emerging chinese market.

*rolls eyes sarcastically* They wanted to capitalize on something. Maybe it was the snow monsters.

I thought I had replied to this, but guess not

I saw it and while it was okay, I don't think it was all that great, either. It felt rushed, and while Brendan Fraser did a good job, the actor and actress playing Alex and Evie just didn't fit with him. The guy doing Alex acted well, but he seemed totally different from the little boy in the other movie and as someone else stated, he seemed too old.

The woman who played Evie just didn't fit the part--she was stilted and totally different from what I and my roommate (who is much more of a fan than I am) had pictured Evie as being. And she had no chemistry whatsoever with Brendan, so it was very hard to believe they were in love!

I agree with what Bridget said. The lack of chemistry really took away from the movie. I wish they'd just rewritten the storyline, leaving Evie out of it.

I saw it last summer with Austin and his cousin. I think Austin was the only one who really liked it. Joe and I left wishing we'd gone to see The Dark Knight again. And I'm sure that Austin will admit that the only real reason he liked the movie was because of a certain actor and it had nothing to do with the plot. Do you even remember the plot?? Hmmmm? :p
