ND/HB game

Okay, now I've finished the latest ND game (took me two days) and I now have the description for the ND/HB game!!!!!! Anyone want me to type what Nancy says about it?

Okay here it is.

You look out over a desert. There's a slight breeze. Nancy starts to speak...

"Great news! I think. See, Frank and Joe Hardy have invited me to help them solve a mystery. Only this mystery takes place on a train. But not just any train --- a train that was found abandoned years ago in the middle of nowhere. All of it's passengers had simply --- vanished. Some people say the train is jinxed. Others say it's haunted. I mean, it'll be fun to finally work along side the Hardy Boys, but I just hope the trip we're going on doesn't turn out to be, you know --- one way..."

The wind picks up and blows the dirt around. It uncovers a piece of paper that blows around and hits the computer screen so you can read it. It says:

Then it blows away again and you can hear coyotes or wolves howling in the background. And it fades...

Sounds awesome! Now to only wait and find out if you get to choose which of the three you play as...

It's going to be interesting though becuase in the ND games you never see Nancy, Bess, George, Ned or Carson. You get to talk to the Hardys but you never see them. So if this is the case and you can't see F, J, or N how are you supposed to communicate between each other even if you can play all three of them? Cell phone? Or will you be able to see each other? Sorry this probably isn't making any sense but these are just the thoughts that I've been having the last few days...

I know for a fact you can see them. That was mentioned at the convention, and I told Leslie from HI that once Joe Hardy hit that screen in living color, sales to adult women would skyrocket, lol.

Oh wow! They look fantastic. I'm very impressed. The game designers have obviously read up on the characters to get the look just right. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy now. :D :D :D

Okay, Sarah, now I'm confused! ;)

The September issue of the Bayport Gazette will have an interview with one of the creative team for Blue Moon Canyon. It was a very interesting chat that does give away a hint or two about the game. But I'm not saying! You'll have to read.

One thing that did get mentioned in the conversation, that isn't in the interview, is Joe Hardy's look. They based his look (hair-wise because it's straight) on the Shaun Cassidy Joe. <g>

Sorry for the confusion!:o I just meant that because of what I read and the pictures I've seen it seems that the Hardys are just characters you talk to and not play.

I've played and completed two of the Nancy Drew games and I enjoyed them, so today I put in my order for Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon. Its due to arrive October 10th - I can't wait! :) :)

I'm looking foward to buying it as well. The last and ONLY PC game I ever bought was 'Titanic - Adventure out of Time' which is, from what I can gather, quite a similar type of game. :D

I've NEVER bought a computer game before, though I've played Sims with my nieces at their house a few times. This'll be my first one!

And, DRAT, I was going to check and see if Target had it yet when I was there this morning. Yeah, I know it's supposed to be released the 15th or something but in UB #6 there's an advert for it and it says "Out NOW!" Figured it wouldn't hurt to look, but of course my brain cells weren't cooperating! :rolleyes:

Our paper had a review of Old Clock in it today, so I'm hoping maybe they'll put one out for this one.

It should be at Best Buy. (pssst... if you look for this one gift card in the store it has a $5 off ticket for Pc and so on things $19.99 and up.) There were about 15 games on the shelf.

Be warned though that it may not come with a strategy guide. (it says it has one in it on the box) The one I bought didn't. And when I went back to exchange it for one that did they opened the second one and it was void of a strategy guide, too.

I'm frustrated. After buying Blue Moon Canyon at around 8 something at night and then planning on playing it with my little sister, I remember that the laptop's charge is down to hardly anything and the needle in the computer that the plug goes into is loose so it won't charge for nothin'. AGH!!! I just about screamed. I did get it installed and saw 2 minutes of the Hardys before it was down to 4% battery and I decided that I was pushing my luck.

::sigh:: Now I have to wait till the stupid thing gets fixed which may be 2 or more months. :( Drat it all.

If I can rely on the Royal Mail it should be here Wednesday. :)

I finished the game last night. All I can say is, you're all going to LOVE it!!!!!!! It's frickin hard, and I played the junior detective level too!!!
