Is anyone out there a James Bond fan?
I used to be...until Timothy Dalton came along and spoiled it for me! I haven't seen one since! [which is too bad, because I really do LIKE Pierce Brosnan, and probably would enjoy the movies with him!]

I'm a picky James Bond fan. I adore the ones with Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan and I pretty much ignore the ones with Timothy Dalton and Roger Moore.
I own all the Pierce Brosnan movies and I wish I knew if he was going to do more. I did buy Casino Royale because I liked the movie but I don't know if I really liked Daniel Craig in the role. He seemed a bit more ruthless than Pierce Brosnan does in his movies.
I'm also more partial to the books rather than the movies. I love it when they do a movie just like the book like they did in Casino Royale (except they changed baccarat to poker) and On Her Majesty's Secret Service. If they'd followed the book in both You Only Live Twice and The Man with the Golden Gun, those would have been much better.
Sorry, didn't mean to go on like that.:)

I've see the majority of all the James Bond movies.....Dad loves them! When we were younger Dad use to take us to the drive-in and we'd watcht the new James Bond movies. My favorite Bonds are Sean Connery(he's dad's fave too!) and Pierce Brosnon. Sorry Piper, he's retired as Bond! Daniel Craig is the new Bond!
that's funny, Piper--my mom thought Roger Moore was the better James Bond!
I've never watched one all the way through--just not my interest--but my brother has watched most of them.

I think that Pierce Brosnan is my favorite Bond. Timothy Dalton was pretty boring, but Sean Connery and Roger Moore I found were pretty good. I have yet to see Daniel Craig.
Sean Connery was okay, but I LOVED Roger Moore as James Bond! ;)

I know this is an old topic, but I'm a HUGE Bond fan. My favorite Bond is definitely Sean Connery. (I just bought Thunderball on DVD.)
My dad's favorite has always been Roger Moore, but I think he's kind of a douche. lol! The Man With the Golden Gun was good though.

I really liked the new movie Casino Royale. That was great! But i do like Sean Connery in the old ones cause it fits him more. It's like listening to a song you like and when you hear it by someone else it just kills it. But Casino Royale was different. It didn't remind me of a Bond movie, but just a really good action flick!

How can you say the Pierce Brosnan is retired as Bond? He could show up in a videogame in the future.
Think about, Sean Connery's last James Bond film was Never Say Never Again (1983) and his last "official" Bond movie Diamonds Are Forever (1971), but Connery reappeared as Bond in the 2004 videogame From Russia With Love, based on the 1963 film of the same name, but in the videogame Connery revoiced all of his original lines and the new lines that were added for the game. Plus the videogame makers based the moves for the Bond in the game on the "bar-brawler" type moves that Connery used for the 1960's Bond movies.
I'm hoping that someday we'll see Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton, along with Pierce Brosnan, reappear as Bond in James Bond videogames that are not based on the film's, but are Bond adventures in the style of the movies, just like Pierce Brosnan appeared in 2002 in Nightfire and then in 2005 in Everything Or Nothing.
As for my favorite actors as Bond I would have to say that it is a tie between Connery and Brosnan. But Roger Moore, Barry Nelson and Timothy Dalton were also good as Bond. Of course my least favorite Bond was George Lazenby, and even the movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service is my least favorite Bond movie.
And while the 2006 Casino Royale was good, I think the 1954 version of Casino Royale was better. The 1966 Casino Royale was just way too cheesy. I've got the DVD of the 1966 version and the only time that I put it in is when I want to watch the 1954 version which is on the DVD as a bonus.
